Tiny Talk Tuesday

My friend Mary started Tiny Talk Tuesday a couple years ago. It’s a blog carnival meant to help parents record and then look back with laughs at the things our kids said when they were “little.” So here are a few things heard around OUR house recently:
[Heriberto singing, me humming] H: Mama, are you singin’ the same song I am? Me: Yeah, I think so. H: Aww, that’s so cute.José: (grabbing a new cereal) Mama will you please help me get this cereal out? Me: You can’t get it yourself? J: No, I haven’t gone to box-opening school yet.
My sister [pointing to a man standing in the middle of her road]: Oh that’s my neighbor, the son of Mr. … ummm… smooshes-metal-crap… umm… Me: Decker Salvage? Amy: Yeah, that’s Decker’s son. H [who we thought was in the other room]: Mr. Smooshes Metal Crap! That’s a funny name! (Whoops! And this person is one of the BEST influences in my kids’ lives!)

When will I learn that small ears are always listening? And can we get a bell for “H,” he’s entirely too quiet!!!
