…And sometimes the genes aren’t everything…

Cherry blossoms, daffodils, post-Easter Spring weather, and the twins and I are getting our butts kicked by allergies. I had to stop school mid-session today because MY brain was too foggy, and the boys sounded worse than I did.
So instead of doing Math and Social Studies, we watched The Princess and the Frog. (Reason # 13467 why I love homeschooling, by the way – we’ve long-since hit the Kindergarten requirements, so if we need a sick day, we’re in great shape to take one)
As if I needed more confirmation that the boys were JUST the kids God meant for Fred and me to parent, every Spring and Fall, they become every bit as debilitated by seasonal allergies as I do. Couldn’t have done “better” by passing my own Dna down. (So sorry boys.)
Please pass the tissues. x 3.

Doh! That stinks.. sniffly, coughy, allergy sick is the most frustrating kind of sick. Bleh.
I’m hesitant to even say anything – I’m normally sick for at least one day this time of year, but have strangely avoided it. My guess is it will hit next week while I’m in South Carolina and actually CAN’T take a sick day because I’m leading meetings all week… (i really hope that doesn’t happen).
Feel better soon (x3)!

Perfect.
Can we borrow it?
T is on nasonex this season and it seems to be her “best” spring yet! I am hoping the med combinations are finally working out and she doesn’t have to drink Zyrtec as her daily viatimin

Sorry, Mary! It was a Netflix-er, so it’s back in the mail (you know me – always borrowing!)… it was cute though (caveat with a “hmm… now I need to explain Voodoo and demonic influences…guess I’d have gotten to that some day”) Overall worth seeing – I love strong female characters and want my boys to appreciate them too! (I’m doomed if they don’t!)
